From the BN article I linked above:
During his one season as head coach, the Oilers went 19-22-7 with a roster that included nine players under the age of 24. Under Krueger's guidance, winger Taylor Hall finished ninth in the league with 50 points. Additionally, Edmonton's power play and penalty kill ranked seventh and ninth, respectively.

Once this motivational guru talks to Skinner he's a good as signed.

For those wondering, Ralph's goaltending coach in Edmonton was hold-over Frederic Chabot who doesn't really have a stellar NHL career and is currently the minor league/dev coach for the Wild.

I'm okay with that. Jason, thanks for not Martin.

Watch Martin be named associate coach.

To the first point -- can't be worse than Allen, right?

To the second -- no issue with that at all.

Was Chabot his hire or did he inherit him?

So it's different jobs, if Martin is an assistant, maybe it's not so bad, it's their business, although I would rather believe that young Taylor will be an assistant.

I'm okay with it, as I said before just someone who thinks outside the box and won't put up with petty crap anymore. Housley always seemed like a very passive head coach.

Again, that sentiment is dangerous. :biglaugh: His last year in Edmonton, their goaltending had slipped pretty badly. I wonder how close he is with Dubnyk, since he started with him with the Oil and then wound up with him on the Wild.

Martin is an ideal choice for associate head coach.

I am happier today then yesterday. Good hire. Better then Martin or Taylor. Taylor needs 1 more year in the A and then a year or two as an nhl assistant.

For better or worse:

1.) General public seems to like the hire
b.) EDM fans were not pleased to see Krueger go, some wanted him back this year
iii.) Maple Leaf fans seem to not like the move
