Hehe, here's Kaprizov's line for tonight's game:

Kaprizov-Rask-Mayhew

The guy who has 25 points in his last 4 NHL seasons combined and the guy who has 14 NHL games as 28 year old.

Great way to win Calder.

Evason should play Kaprizov with Greenway. Mayhew is just a filler until Fiala or Foligno comes back.

True. I don't think he will for that reason but he has been excellent. Very poised.
This is going exactly like last season. Everyone goes with the recent lottery pick, then said lottery pick is randomly overtaken by one of our D prospects, then said D prospect finishes just outside the Calder top-3, then Aufheben whines on HF.

I think the only reason Kaprizov doesn't win it is if the Wild continue not to surround him with talent. The kid is serving up great passes but everyone whiffs on them. He also needs to shoot more. I hope we see Fiala and Kaprizov play on a line together because I think Fiala is the only player that can truly keep up with him.

This rookie goalie crop is sneakily good. We all knew the Shesty hype and Sorokin of course and I had a sneaking suspicion about KK in Minnesota but Lankinen and Vanecek have arguably been the two best. The Hawks must have had confidence in Lankinen to not go after a goalie (Subban barely counts) this off-season while Vanecek suddenly makes the Caps protection plan not so easy if he keeps this up with only one of him and Samsonov able to be protected. I’m sure Samsonov is still the guy long-term but nice problem to suddenly have. Could be another Varlamov-Holtby situation where one gets dealt.

Kevin Lankinen stops 38-41 shots for a .927 save percentage. Unfortunately takes the shootout loss so that’ll invalidate everything in the eyes of the voters.

Hoglander drew like 4 penalties alone today, Literally with just hard work, it was silly

Stutzle with his third goal of the season tonight in his seventh game of the season. He's looking better and better every game.
