While I personally think Vancouver goes on a run, them finally winning the lottery in a draft where there is no player that really projects as a can't miss stud is so Vancouver.

This year in particular, they have the huge advantage of playing in the toughest division, where any of five teams could still, theoretically, end up in first.
Ottawa has McDavid and Matthews to help them, but they have been faltering lately, going 6-4.

No that starts next year and it starts fresh so it will not include the past 5 drafts. Only the top 2 lottery picks count for it so a team could draft 3rd overall as many times as they want
Regardless of how realistic it is, Canucks have their playoff-hopes alive in May.
