Just finished watching the game.
Hughes was very very good sprinkled w. Some not so good.
The good- the usual, sublimr skating, incredible vision and playmaking abilities. Lockwoods goal was all Hughes on the PP. He took a back pass from the red line and weaved in and out of the defenders, made a quick explosion cut to the middle, had all Ohio State players trying to contain him, gave a slick pass to Lockwood for the one timer.
W. Michigan down 3-2 and a minute left, Quinn made an unbrlievable cross ice one touch pass to Lockwood who semi fanned on it and hit the post.
The not so good - score tied 2 -2. Quinn enters the o- zone down the middle thanks to slick skating and stickhandling. He then passes to the winger on the boards covering the point. He darts down looking for the give and go...doesnt get it... he skates all the way down the goal line before curling back..... the michigan winger who had it on the point turns it over w a bad pass...ohio state transitions and counters and scores... quinn was behind the play.
Also w 20 seconds left with the bet empty. Quinn has the puck at centre ice. Tries to mohawk and spin away from defender... he catches an edge and gets interfered with by linesman...loses puck.. ohio state player takes the easy turnover and fired home into the empty net.
