I think the most likely story is that Pricer is not coming back (as expected) and Monty will be the #3 Goalie until the trade deadline when Allen gets dealt.

I think the main selling point for potluck was ice time. At one point, there probably few places that could give him the same opportunity as montreal.

But, when you look at the roster now, I don't know if you can guarantee him the same opportunity.

So, for a team looking to get cap relief, and with more competition for a top 6 spot, I can't see how Montreal would look all that attractive to him.

.. And that's too bad because I liked what rem brought last year.

I think it's apples and oranges. Anyone looking at Allen has higher aspirations than someone looking at montembault.

If you need a Joe goalie to play out your season, then montembault is your guy, not Allen.

Brook was hyped up on the Reddit Habs board. I think he was good in the WHL. Nasty injury has pretty much derailed his career but I can see some team kicking the tires on him. Maybe the Habs will sign him for Laval.

Rem Pitlick is an interesting omission. Not sure what the plan is.

He was really good in the WHL, goes to show you.. nothing is certain, that's for sure

I like that they kept Montembault. In my mind, he could be another Denis Herron i.e. a good bad team goalie. The guy got shelled a lot of nights and he wasn't the main reason the team lost so many games.

Schnarr is a guy who would be an AHL regular and potential NHL callup, like Belzile for example.
