There's some really good defense in the Olympics, I think we need to sell Kleffy and Russel at the trade deadline and pick up a bunch of these guys for cheap!

Ugh, too many ex Oilers on this team and they look like ex Oilers.
In defense I think Roy has looked good and he looked good for us as well. Never had complaints about his effort or play here, indeed disappointed he wasn't retained.
lol that we went in a Letestu direction at much higher pay. Really I would flip Test tube for Roy right now. Its quite amazing though how much career difference can occur among players without much difference in ability. I would say Roy was always more talented than Letestu and yet some players are just preferred.

Depressing to see Klinkhammer and Brule play. I was kind of hoping my retina's would never have to be exposed to the sight of it again. Klinkhammer looking just as useless on this stage. Is there a level of hockey invented where he would look good? How did this guy get in the NHL?

If we're so bad at drafting and pro scouting, why are all these Olympians former Oilers or Oiler draft picks? Smh

Didn't see it posted yet. Another gold for Canada in two-man bobsled in a tie with the Germans.

McDavid and Draisaitl can share a beer over that result.

Incredible that this is the second time that Canada has won gold in bobsled in a tie, especially since it's timed in hundredths of a second over 4 runs. The 4-man bob tied Italy in 1998.

Its kind of the nature of the sport though. Theres not much deviation in toptimes and so the chances of photo finishes increase with that. How much time deviation is there even in the 4 runs by each team? A lot of times I've watched the differences are small depending on course, turns, elements.

Why not throw Scrivens in the race? Goalies can get points too!

Our decade of darkness exemplified in this one graph. What the hell were our scouts/pro scouts thinking. Were they on unspecified illegal substances? In honour of the frequency party last night we'll go with this one.

Coming in 2022...mixed luge!!

and then they'll get really creative such as:
heads/tails (one rider feet first, the other headfirst) luge woman on bottom
heads/tails luge man on bottom
heads/tails luge woman down, man up
heads/tails luge man down/women up
sideways luge
inverted sideways luge (head first)
standing luge
handstand luge

I might have missed a few?

Looks like silver for Virtue-Moir in the Ice Dance. The judges picked there pre-Olympics favorite in the French pair and ignored any reasons why they shouldn't win. It's tough to watch judged sports where reputation matters.

I suspect the arrangement was gold for Virtue-Moir in the team competition and gold for the French pair in this event. Everyone goes home happy. Salt Lake City was long enough ago to go back to running the event the way they always preferred to.

Edit, spoke too soon, haha.

That **** was pretty dramatic though lol.
There was no way the French team should have been within striking distance after the short and then grabbed a WR long program score. Credit to Virtue-Moir who skated perfectly and forced the judges to give them gold or risk another scandal.
