I feel like a Lehkonen for Puljujavi trade makes a lot of sense.

I’ve been saying this for a year now. It does make a ton of sense. Edmonton gets the better player now, Montreal gets the guy with more upside.

But for everyone making sense and offering something with value there’s 3 guys smugly offering Hudon and a 6th like it’s some kind of f***ing favour.

Habs fans aren't the ones throwing Hudon + 6th around, we're smarter than that. Probably other fanbases.

I feel like a Lehkonen + for Puljujavi trade makes a lot of sense.

Habs have excess LW and the Oilers have a 4th liner (Lucic) playing on their 2nd line.
They shouldn't waste Lehkonen just because LW is a strength for the team.

Bracco is who I was trying to protect in my proposal. We're all pretty high on him right now. Not the worst counter I've ever seen, we're in the right ball park. Could we interest you in a goalie prospect instead? We have 2 good ones turning pro next season in Joseph Woll or Ian Scott?
Tbh, Holowell is probably more important for the Leafs, especially if they’re acquiring a winger

I think one of the issues with the habs is they have excess centers too and Poehling (C) will come into the mix next year so one of our centers will be moved to the wings. Some people are guessing Domi since he's already a left winger so that'll create an even bigger backlog.

Next years LW:

Drouin
Tatar
Byron
Lehkonen
Domi

C: Danault, Kotkaniemi, Poehling, #4C
RW: Gallagher, Armia, Shaw, Weise

Struggling Finnish prospect trade. JP for Juolevi. Does either team do it?

I don't think Vancouver does that. Dmen usually take much longer to develop than forwards unless they're freaks of nature so I think it's too early for Van to give on him yet. That trade would be a major win for EDM. At this point JP is looking like a total bust and might not even have an NHL career.

You are correct. Juolevi's development has been hindered in part by his commitment/work ethic, but mostly due to his injuries. He's shown he can play well in a man's league, in both SM-liiga and the AHL. Right now, I think it's reasonable to project him as a bottom pairing, PP specialist that will have defensive gaffes from time to time. I'll take that over a top 6 forward that can't produce right now.

I'd do Goldobin + a 3rd or maybe Virtanen +, though.

Nylander at 20 cant match Puljujarvi’s 18 year old AHL Numbers.

Whatever you think of Jesse, he’s better and further ahead than Nylander. Only team benefitting from that deal is Buffalo.

you'll probably end up with a 2nd for Puljujarvi

I think Vancouver looks at this closer than the Juolevi' offer. Still though, Virtanen is a solid bottom six player with tools and grit. What does JP offer if he isn't scoring PTS? I still think that would be a massive win for EDM. At this stage I think EDM would be lucky to get a mid draft round pick for JP.

Pulijujarvi will most likely go for very little. He has done NOTHING to maintain any sense of value.

He might have been drafted super high, but his game hasn’t translated to the NHL. Say what you will about how the Oilers developed/not developed him, he just hasn’t brought it.

Not to mention he’s had an opportunity to play with likes of McDavid, Draisaitl and RNH.

Though this isn't breaking news, Rishaug is close to the organization and broke news in the past, notably floating Taylor Hall's name in trade rumors days before he was dealt.
