No team was willing to give Ryan Carter an NHL contract (even the Devils themselves)? Unless I'm missing something & his play really dipped quickly I always thought he was very solid fourth liner.

The pace looks pretty fast, I keep hearing about how the bar was set way higher for the players to come in better shape, in the G article on NHL.com he was mentioning about how being in shape coming into camp helps out a ton

If we ever got ride if some contracts next year or the year after I could honestly see an effective bottom 6 of Leier-Laughton on one line and Cousins-Alderson on the other. Those four have excited me this preseason, and of course that's not even including NAK developing.

So based on the preseason so far it's looking like Lecavelier is taking Hartnells spot on the 1st PP. I'd rather see Schenn there but if Lecavelier can work there then great.

G and Simmonds aren't out there. I'm sure Schenn will be on the first PP.

Oh man, Gostisbehere looking good. Laughton too, especially on the power play.

Devils PK is a mess though, do they not have their regular PKers playing?
