Sucks for Gilmour, unfortunate, but in the NHL, mistakes like that can easily end up in the back of the net.

Cuts after the game:

Holland, Gilmour.

Also Smith has looked good. Much improved. DeAngelo has made some bad decisions rushing up the ice but overall has been very good, taking control of the play

Tokarski asking Hank about Keens Steakhouse, and Hank's like no, Peter Luger's is better.

I don’t disagree, but I think largely just don’t think any of the first year pro guys are going to be able to make that jump right away
Yeah. I think Andersson has a good shot, probabaly Chytil too. Not sure anyone else has a real shot. Hajek maybe sometime during the year if he keeps improving.

DeAngelo - best player on the ice, but he’s definitely cursed
Buchnevich - best forward on the ice
Smith - very impressive game
Zibanejad - what you’d expect
Hajek - not too bad, still think he starts in the A
Gilmour - better than I thought he would be, but I wish he didn’t lose that puck
Chytil - a bit disappointing in the beginning of the game, but settled in and got better as the game went on
Skjei - kind of invisible
Howden - also invisible
Spooner - boring
Namestnikov - makes me miss Miller
Lettieri - kind of disappointing
Holland - had one decent play, but he needs to go
Keane - not bad, but not ready yet
Hank - I don’t know wtf happened, but he usually gets off to slow starts
Tokarski - impressive, but I’m not expecting much from him
Beleskey - nice goal
Fontaine - had a couple good looks, about what you’d expect
Vesey - trash
Gropp - has he played?

Hajek is on the McDonagh trajectory. Half a year in Hartford. It’s just timing. You can see he is leaning towards being defensively minded but he has the skating and awareness to do more. Just needs time to trust his instincts.

ADA has been the best player in this game for the Rangers.

I’m really like what I’m seeing from Smith. Looks more like two years ago.

Beleskey, to me, is a real nice option as a 4th liner who can play with an edge.
ADA has had a mixed game.Got caught a few times trying to do too much and lost the puck.Other times hes done well creating something out of nothing.

Smith has his contract, so he rightfully needs to get the chance to bounce back.

McQuaid wasn't traded for to sit in the press box. They will both be in the opening night lineup you have to assume.
Sigh. But DeAngelo will force his way into the lineup. Guess Pionk is the odd man out.
