I agree that McIlrath was only okay. Okay is an improvement for him. Okay is an indication of progress. Okay is good enough to make it as #7.
Okay is not better than Klein. Not yet.
I think this is all Im saying, and its met with scorn because the team has a lot invested in McIlrath, which is stupid because that draft was 5 years ago and a lot has happened to this team and the league since then.
Anyway, I think he has the inside track for the #7 simply because hes out of options. I'd be absolutely terrified at this point if a regular D-man goes down and he has to play and extended amount of games.
