You may be right, but I hope you are wrong!
What's wrong with Kyle Turris? Pretty darn productive player.

Here's a brief list of some current NHL players who spent some time in the AHL before making the NHL, or who were up and down between the NHL and AHL their first couple of seasons.
Some recent comparables:
Giroux - 33 GP, 17 G, 17 A
StK, Giroux is the guy I think of as a comparable (optimistically) for Strome. Their career numbers overall are pretty comparable (draft years in bold).
GIROUX:
2008-09 Philadelphia AHL 33 17 17 34
2007-08 Gatineau QMJHL 55 38 68 106
2006-07 Gatineau QMJHL 63 48 64 112
2005-06 Gatineau QMJHL 69 39 64 103
STROME:
2013-14 Bridgeport AHL 17 4 15 19
2012-13 Niagara OHL 53 34 60 94
2011-12 Niagara OHL 46 30 38 68
2010-11 Niagara OHL 65 33 73 106

They even like to setup in the same spot, particularly on the PP. The one edge I've always felt Giroux had over Strome is his goal scoring. Watching them both in junior, Giroux just looked like a more dangerous goal scorer to me whenever they were on the ice. At the pro level (so far, in an admittedly small sample size), it's looking as though that remains the case.
Giroux, stylistically, is Strome's uttermost upside. That is, if every single thing goes right, and every single part of his game develops as expected. But the caution in that is, it's one thing to hope he could max out as Giroux, but it's another to expect it. There's just as much a chance he does round out more like a Turris or a Gagner than a Giroux.
And I find that as a fan, it's better to expect a Turris/Gagner and be pleasantly surprised when he turns into Giroux, rather than expecting Giroux and being disappointed when he's "only" a Turris/Gagner.
I'm assuming you all have paid more attention to Pelech than I have, but he seems like a solid 4 or 5. What's the consensus of the Islanders fans?
Turris has been pretty great this year. I watch a lot of Sens games because i absolutely love to watch Karlsson play and i have Karlsson & Zibanejad in my Keeper League. Anyway Turris is one of the best players on the ice every game i watch. He is really starting to hit his stride, guy was a total late bloomer.
If Strome turns out like the Turris of today i would be okay with that. Similar body types and playing styles, both rightys. Not sure if Strome is as good a skater as Turris... Turris is a beautiful skater.

Reinhart with a goal so far.

Erie 6, Guelph 4-Pelech, 1 assist, + 2.
Subway Super Series
WHL 4, Russia 2-Pulock, 1 assist, + 1.
DREX, why don't Reinahrt and/or Pulock play in all the series games?
