I'd like to see a list of names that have been invited too. I saw a thread prior to the draft floating around, but haven't been able to find it since.

I know the Maple Leafs have seemingly invited Mitchell Heard from Plymouth.

Michael Kantor and Colin Miller from Sault Ste. Marie are heading to LA's IIRC.

I'd like to see the FA list, too, if there is one. Was searching for it and could only find this thread.

Washington's camp is 11-16 (on-ice), players report on the 10th I believe.

Six FA invites are known so far for the Capitals according to articles, twitter announcements, etc. Of course something could change with one of these players between now and the camp.

F
Thomas Frazee, Kamloops, WHL overage season just completed (Frazee's twitter)

D

Mike Collins, Merrimack, (heading into soph. season) (local Merrimack writer on twitter)
Jimmy Oligny, Q/PEI (PEI twitter)
Karl Stollery, Merrimack (heading into senior season) (local Merrimack writer on twitter)

G
Jacob Gervais-Chouinard, Q, played for Val-d’Or but traded to Rimouski (reported in article several days ago)

Training camps are new to me but, is it basically a final camp for players before they go off to check their fitness?

So I just got back. For starters, Rakell, Lind, Newton and Bobkov where not there this morning.

Tarkki was extremely solid today, he was making so pro looking saves. One chance Perlini had a wide open net and right as the puck is released, Tarkki slid seamlessly to the other post to prevent what I thought was a sure goal. Gibson was a little shaky at first, but he played pretty good towards the end.

Karlsson and Friberg really impressed me. They where fast and shifty. Karlsson can deke, and Friberg has a wicked wrister.

Smith-Pelly, Etem, Clark, and Wagner were playing on a line together and they had some filthy passing plays. I was surprised how well Wagner played, scoring a couple of goals, as did Etem. Etem had one of the prettiest looking goals I have seen in person, skating through a couple of defenders and netting it top corner short side. Smith-Pelly really trimmed down from last year, he looks faster and more polished.

Welinski and Clark where the two stand outs of defense. Clark's offensive game has really rounded it and he was all over the Ice. I was impressed with Welinski's ability to move the puck, and he had a nice little goal at the beginning of the scrimmage.

That's all that I can think of off the top of my head. Sorry for the sloppy post, I'm in a hurry to hit the sack. Ask questions if you want, Ill respond after my nap.

Edit: Cramarossa is very fast

Quoting my notes from the Ducks board about my thoughts on prospect scrimmage today.

if players impress in the camps do they get a spot in the the nhl roster/ahl roster??

They get an invite to main camp along with the NHL players, teams then decide what they will Do with these players once main camp is complete
