Not worthy of a suspension, but 2+2 for roughing (served by a skater) was not enough either.

I'd give him a fine as a warning and for something on his record. I like Price a lot but he deserves something for that.

Got a double minor? Good enough. Why do people on this board constantly call for suspensions

What Price did was no worse than a prone player receiving multiple crosschecks while lying down, which happens quite often. It doesn't make it right, and was rightfully punished during the game but the massive upheaval here at hfboards tells more about people's opinion of the habs than the real severity of Price's action.

Some people have quite a chip on their shoulders when it comes to the habs here. Holy overreaction!

I wonder what would have happened if Schneider did the exact same thing to Galchenyuk?

Pretty sure every single Habs fan would want him suspended atleast 3 games

I'm guessing most Habs fans would be happy to see this because it would mean that Galchenyuk's knee injury wasn't as bad as first thought.

Blocker punches should be instant suspensions.

Price's explanation that he has to "stick up for himself" every once in a while is rich when Montreal has one of the biggest goaltender runners in the league [Gallagher]

gallagher gets interference penalties for standing on the edge of the blue. He doesnt run goalies and he certainly doesnt kreider them feet first like plamieri did. 99% of his contact with goalies is him standing still or getting pushed into the goalie.

And he routinely gets manhandled and it never gets called. What do habs fans do ? accept it as the cost of doing business and not embarrass ourselves by crying for suspension on what amounts to a double minor.

Gallagher running goalies, har de har har.

Those "love taps" with a goalie blocker would constitute assault with a weapon irl. Especially with a spastic character like Carey behind it all.

a body check and shooting frozen vulcanized rubber at high speed would as well. So what ?

Yeah carey price spastic, a perfect description if you never saw him play. We have to worry if his HR goes too low when he plays.

You think you can run the best goalie on the planet feet first with impunity ? Good luck with that. if anything palmeri got off easy.

Because he violently and clearly intentionally tried to injure a player by directing force (via his blocker) at a players head.

In layman's terms, he's punching him in the d**m head while he's already on the ice.

I don't think it's clear that he tried to "injure" Palmieri in the sense of putting him out of the game with an injury. There was the one grazing swing at his head, but after that Price was deliberately punching him in the back where it clearly wasn't going to cause any serious damage.

I dunno, maybe I'm just getting old or something, but there are so many punches thrown that never even get talked about as suspendable. This seems like it wouldn't be a big deal at all if it weren't a star goalie for the Habs doing the punching.

I think we can all agree that we lost some respect for Carey Price, which is better than a suspension in my eyes.

It´d be priceless to see the reaction of Habs fans if the situation was reversed.

Why is that rich? Price doesn't control Gallagher, he doesn't say "hey Gally, can you go run that goalie over there for me?". You're really grasping at straws here.
