On the food end, I don't think they're rolling out a lot until the regular season starts, or at least until later in the preseason. My friends were trying to get a hot dog at one of the Jersey Grind places upstairs and had to wait a few minutes. I figured that was the easy thing to have made  , maybe it was just popular.

Since I was upstairs, I didn't know if there were new options open in the lower concourse. They did get rid of that big popup store and are building something new there, that's about the extent of what I got to see.

They sent an email about it they are building a new store where the kids zone at the top of the escalators coming in from the m&ms tower use to be.

I noticed new paper towel holders in the bathrooms but they cheaped out and didn't buy automatic ones

From the email...

New Spaces

Fans will also experience upgrades to multiple entertaining spaces throughout the arena.

The Foundry Bar

The Foundry Bar is a new East Concourse bar that will serve as a social gathering area, reflecting the atmospheres of a beer garden and pub.

Prudential Lounge

Fans will also experience upgrades to multiple entertaining spaces throughout the arena. The new Prudential Lounge will serve as an elevated, flexible hospitality space located adjacent to Mulberry Street that visually ties in the surrounding city and arena, with access provided to assigned premium ticket members. The space will feature design elements inspired by the Red Oak tree, the official tree of the state of New Jersey.

Fanatics Team Store

In addition to the Devils Den team store, an additional Fanatics Team Store will be upgraded and relocated to the Main Concourse at the top of the M&M's Tower staircase (previously the Prospect Playground).

Upgraded Technology

The arena will also upgrade its technological infrastructure, supported by new 5G internet, in partnership with Verizon, and the installation of Lightpath’s all-fiber products and services. Besides network and the installation of wi-fi, Verizon will also implement, with Levy, cashless and touchless purchasing processes for ease of sale. These changes will take effect in the early stages of the 2023-24 season.

An absolute blast at the Rock tonight for my son's first game. Of course, being two years old, it was all fun and games until the lights went out for the intro and the goal horn went off 4 times in 5 minutes. It startled him for sure, but we let him do his thing on the concourse and he enjoyed himself in his own way. Still an untouchable moment for me as a father.

The game was an absolute throttling and I loved every second of it.

Did you get a first game certificate? They have them at guest relations on the lower level. If you missed it I'm sure they would still give you one with yesterday's games date on it if you asked.

Side note, most people probably don't know about it but you can get one no matter what your age is, they are free too.

It's probably been mentioned already, but I didn't realise this was Couturier's first game since 2021. Damn.

Yeah, it’s really sad. Amazing player. I remember when he collided with Radko Gudas during drills and missed a bunch of time. (I think they were involved in separate drills and whoever set them up put them too close together)

Will there be any highlights of the flyers game? I saw YouTube had the Montreal highlights.

What’s your point?

Slafkovsky played a pretty good 2nd and awesome 3rd period, he took a step compared to last year already, more used to NA ice. They played him near 19 minutes with PP1 in his first game in 8-9 months. How are they ruining him?
I like Slafkovsky. I said that he will be first overall way before it was a mainstream. I dont like mtl manegement decisions and big part of fans vibe. SLafkovsky bust narratives, Hutson is the best defenseman prospect in the world, Suzuki is the better player than Hischier, Anderson trade for Nemec and\or Holtz, Michkov bashing in media, by a team, by a part fan base etc. Im not telling that every fans are doing sh1t, but big part are, and manegement make wrong decisions and cover it by false arguments.
I understand that its only limited and wrong view(because of limited), its far from objective. But Im not trying to be objective in this case. Im very good enough in prospect development and drafting and I can afford to be subjective in some other aspects.

But your comment just didn’t make any sense… especially after the kid played a pretty good game.

Don’t know what the fans trolling about an Anderson trade has to do with anything.

What ‘’wrong’’ decisions the management made? Or cover by false arguments? lol

Hey man. Calm down.

We're just joking around.

You shouldn't take things so seriously.

Slaf is very talented and I still wanted him even though Nemec may turn out to be the better choice (for the Devils, that is) in the long run.

That doesn't mean we don't fantasize about what-if's, you know?

Slaf’s game looks a lot more like Kakko’s than Rantanen and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how it goes. AKA a very good glue middle 6 guy who can play responsibly and bring the body and give you 50-60 a year. But not the guy who drives the bus. Just conjecture, I’m not writing him off - that’s dumb with a teenager.

The question is how much the pandemic has cost these guys development time and if we’ll see more Troy Terry-esque later stage breakouts from a huge number of players.

Dare I say it?

Perhaps finally re-signing to that long-term deal took that out of his thinking and is now 100% focused on Devils Hockey and getting better as a Player. :thumbu:

Which is funny because he said himself that's exactly why he didn't want to sign the long term contract. Something about LTC making players complacent.

It makes sense. People from this board understood.

The answer was in the comment before. If you don't see it, may be you are the part of it. Again, if you are not agree with the side view, no one ask too. May be its a problem of draft community, or devils community, or Russian fans community or other communities and mtl fans are "right". But activities of mtl fans in situations that cross with Devils community didn't make a good authority.

Management? Funny stupid false arguments to not draft Michkov for example. All of those activities were walking shame and pathetic.

So after many cases(mtl own prospects, their development(Slaf, Kotka), Hutson, Anderson, Michkov, even part of the fan base bashing Reinbacher for the thing he wasn't fault, he didn't choose to be picked by this team before Michkov, he is a great prospect by himself, just not as good) I have mtl in specific category. Where I don't wanna see great young players like Slaf. It is subjective, may be its wrong, at least from your point of view(and it should be, you are mtl fan, its stupid to ask to hate your own team, I would never do it, and more over, I don't like fans who hates their own team, they are specifically stupid), but it is what it is for me, its not about being clearly right.

He drives the play and sets up for partners. His shot is weak for now, but he isn’t in Kakko category.
