We don't really have anyone good enough in this game to take the offensive initiative themselves.

The team has done ok. One thing that stands out to me is Baddock and Thomson are both very very slow. That line is giving me flashbacks of the Boulton - whoever - Janssen fourth line days.

It seems like a lot of the kids are realizing very quickly how much less time and space they have to make plays at the pro level.

Merrill getting beaten and outfought for a bunch of pucks today. I usually don't focus in on him, but have seen it a bunch of times now. Granted he's getting the schenn line or whatever, but he shouldn't be manhandled like that.

The problem I have with Severson is that I think he should be owning this game and he's not. He may turn out to be a 3/4 defensemen. Won't be the wore thing, just leaves me feeling empty.

It's going to be his third year in the league. Go look up Chara's stats in his first three years. He has time.

If Wood had some more finish, he would make the big club. As for Blandisi, ton of talent, poor hockey IQ.

I think it would be a good idea for him to start in Albany. Maybe, if he's ready, he can be an injury call-up this year.

missed that. came in about 6 minutes into the second and he had 2 or 3 bad shifts that period.

Zacha and maybe Santini. We will see.

Note Keith's age and the number of points he had his rookie season. Severson had the same number a year younger.

Not saying he definitely will, but he can still be a special player.

If he had more finish, he would likely be an elite prospect.

The problem is that the goalies that flop around these days, are not very good at the NHL level. Pavelec being the most famous example. And Wedgewood wasn't even good at the AHL level until last year. I think too many people are forgetting or wanna forget that he stunk prior to last season. Like he was literally one of the worst pro goaltenders in North America, that's not exaggeration either. I think last season the fact that he finally had a good season, probably saved him from us possibly not tendering him altogether this year.

And I'm not Kinkaid fan either, he was BAD last year. The problem is that Wedgewood was even worse in the prior years.

This whole game is. It's not surprising, though. There is almost no NHL talent out there.
