I know, I was being a bit hyperbolic with it. It's mostly a time wasting move, especially when they looking visibly upset. When they try to influence calls, it's done in a much more calm manner.I mean, you're not arguing to change the current call, you're arguing so the ref thinks about it next time and gives that 50/50 to you instead of against you.
That or like LITN said, it's straight up wasting time to get the defense set.
