Duchene is on the ice for more goals against than Boro. Boro kills penalties, Duchene usually does not.

Duchene is on the ice for more goals agaisnt than Boro. That is the point.

1. I specifically chose to put ONLY 5 on 5 stats (No PP and no PK) so that we don't need to waste our time with this useless argument.

2. Your point is irrelevant, or you simply do not understand how wins are generated.

On it's own saying that less goals are scored while Boro is on the ice than when Duchene is on the ice literally means nothing. So if that was your point that's fine but you're not bringing anything to the conversation.

Oooh, this one could be fun. Didn't our PK% sky rocket once Boro went down?
Yes for a couple reasons.

1) we made a system adjustment on our PK as a team
2) last time boro was out, our pk was a different style and we had no harpur or falk ,

Players that kill penalties are important, defensive players are important

Use a sample size of 5-6 games without Boro to fit your narrative though.

No style adjustment. Boro won’t make our pk worse of the goalies keep saving mostly everything.

Boro has been out in several different stints this year, his stint before this one he returned and we played better, and a better penalty kill when Harpur wasn't around but this time it fits your narrative so everyone is finally getting their chance" see i told he was bad"

lmao

Defensive play is important. That's why Boro is bad, he can't defend.

We're not talking 5-6 game simple, we're talking 5-6 seasons.
Yeah exactly. If someone likes boro fine so be it. Happy to see him back? Also fair. But like.... don’t pretend to be excited about his defensive play back in he lineup

Boros form before this latest injury was quite possibly the worst he had played since his second year with us. He was ghastly and basically everyone realized it.

boro = bad for 5 seasons

career -2

lol

Ahh plus minus, the most conclusive stat in the NHL. I'm sure all 16 playoff teams are itching at the chance to pick up Boro at the deadline this year because they all agree with your sparkling valuation of him.

so the top defensive guys have our better oisv% & despite killing penalties and the bottom more offensive players, despite most of them not killing penalties, have a lower oiSV%.

Why?!

Some of them are good defensively some of them are not as good.

Should still be fun to be there. They are also a great team to watch, even if my team loses. I accept the fate this year and go to the games to enjoy hockey. Anyone going?

The game in Nashville was the most Meh games I've watched in a while. Hopefully tonight will be an improvement.

That claim is not far off from the absolutely insane stats you are trying to use as benchmarks.

Top defensive guys... Boro, Haprur, Ceci, Pyatt. Yup checks out you got us there. How can anyone argue with that?

They're just getting lucky with a sv% higher than the team average save percentage??? Sorry but I just proved they're not bad defensive players.

Skilled players help teams and that's it, is what I get from this place but it contradicts your narratives so it must be wrong.
