If by "we" you mean the Wings, then "we" don't have him. He's signed to a GR contract, not Wings.

Technically the Wings don't own GR and the player doesn't count towards the contract limit, so he's not really in the WIngs organization. He would have to sign a contract with the Wings to play a regular season game. I assume GR players get a tryout contract for the preseason.

I can't find anything.

But that list from KK is ONLY waiver players.

Larsson is waiver exempt and not expected to make the team.

Happy to see they are putting Hicketts at the right level. I was worried they were going to keep him up for no real reason. I mean I guess if it is just to sit in the press box. Hopefully Pickard clears, I don't want to have what happened to Leafs a few years ago, happen to us. I don't necessarily expect it, but he has been a backup in the league before.

He played great in preseason, I could see a team taking a flying at him.

He picked up on waivers twice last season.

It is a legitimate concern when you have a really good AHL guy that can do spot duty in the NHL. I don't think there are a lot of goalie injuries which is kind of unusual at this time of year, but that should help us. I absolutely want him in GR, I agree that he has had a good pre-season.

I would be, we have one of the worst D-cores if not the worst in the league and he is like #10 on our depth chart.

He needs to be a better skater at his size to stick at the NHL level. I love the enthusiasm he plays the game with and I think he is an easy guy to root for, I just don't see a NHL player at all when I watch him play. At the NHL level they are good at abusing his deficiencies.

nothing recent but didn't he sit out the traverse city tournament with a sore groin?

it's possible i'm confusing him with someone else haven't really been paying a ton of attention to hockey stuff lately

Nope, you got it. Larsson didn't play. Fulcher started...poorly, then Romeo came in and played really well in net.

Correct, but he did play a couple periods during preseason and looked solid.

Lots of excitment for him.

It's really 28 as the 8 who were placed on waivers earlier today are still included until they clear or get claimed tomorrow.

Besides those waived, Pearson, McIsaac and Larsson are still on the roster and they will probably be sent down so then its at 25. With injuries there might not be a need to send anyone else down before the season starts.
