So does anyone know anything about this other team? Any former or future nhlers? My prejudice is the flyers are going to run them out of the building

The opening game forwards seem fairly obvious:

Giroux-Couturier-TK
JVR-Hayes-Voracek
Lindblom-Laughton-Farabee
Twarynski-Bunnaman-Raffl

I suppose JVR & Lindblom could switch.

The D, likely:

Provorov-Niskanen
Ghost-Braun
Sanheim-???

I don’t know who will start in that last D spot. I’m sure this last preseason game will matter & I’m sure it will rotate early in the season.

They are better than every AHL team.

They will line-up with

Dustin Jeffrey, Corey Emmerton, Cody Almond, Christoph Bertschy, Joel Vermin, Josh Jooris, Ronalds Kenins
Jonas Junland, Petterri Lindbohm
Tobias Stephan

As ex-NHLers... and then a guy like Genazzi who could easily have held own in NHL.

Don't have the top end that the other pre-season opponents had... but given some of the AHLers/prospects playing for other teams Lausanne will line up with more depth than quite a few pre-season NHL opponents.

I'm going to "enjoy" watching Hagg on European sized ice where he's going to have more difficulty with his "hits."

Yeah, I know that's where he came from.

I'm so excited to see what Laughts can do with that sort of wing talent.

Looks like JVR will probably start with Laughton, & Lindblom will start with Hayes.

I can’t say I’m excited to see Laughton as 3C with anyone. But if they didn’t sign Hayes, Laughton would be 2C, so there’s that.

I'm not a big fan of JVR with Laughton, but then again I like Laughton better at wing. Lindblom/Hayes/Voracek would be a top notch two-way line though that I can get behind.

My dream I think is:

Giroux-Couturier-Konecny
Lindblom-Hayes-Voracek
JvR-Patrick-Farabee
Raffl-Laughton-Twarynski/Bunnaman/Pitlick/NAK

And give the 3rd line the easy minutes... not many teams can match-up with that.

If Hart would stay on his game and the D would improve that forward lineup combined with the other two things would help this team make a good push.

I can understand wanting Lindblom with Hayes & Jak for 2-way reasons, since they’ll be getting tougher matchups & more minutes. JVR also gives better hand-skill, size & goal scoring to Laughton & Farabee. So there might be more balance. Plus they will pick & choose those 3rd line deployments. But if Lindblom struggles offensively he’ll get dropped to line 3.

I don’t care much about line 4. They have enough to make it effective with a bunch of combinations in limited minutes.
