Yeah, the Belarusian versions of Eklund, Holtz, Raymond, Lysell and Edvinsson are so much better!

We have better 2002 born players than Belarus. But 2003 and beyond i think Belarus is better. Edvinsson is better than any Belarus D, but im talking overall.

The slovaks have more good players than Slaf, Nemec and Dvorsky.

Knazko, Mesar, Ciernek, Demek, Chromiak, Kmec for exemple.

Did not Slovakia miss some players in Hlinka too? They won over us, it was not luck. Will be intresting to see what you say when Slovakia win over us in December again.

I just dont see it with Sweden. Eklund, Lysell, Holtz, Raymond, Wallinder and Edvinsson are only blue chip prospects from Sweden. The 2004,2005,2006 born group does not look good for Sweden.

1: Russia
2: Finland
3: Slovakia
4: Czech
5: Germany
6: Belarus
7: Sweden

Thats how i see it, in Europe.

I never claimed that it was luck. What I said was that slovaks probably didn't have more future NHLers and drafted prospects on the ice than Sweden. They however had 3 best players on the ice. And about December, Sweden is clearly the favorite, 2002 and 2003 groups for Slovakia are not nearly as impressive as 2004 and 2005.

Btw, Knazko, Chromiak, Demek have nothing to do with 2021 Hlinka game.

As for your ranking, why is Sweden ahead of Kazakhstan, Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, UK and Bosnia? Are you out of your mind?

Yup. They are just hiding somewhere in the forest near Poland I guess.

Becuse we are better. But i dont think we have brighter future than Russia/Finland/Slovakia/Czech/Germany/Belarus. I placed Sweden as 7th, not 20th.

This 7th position refers to what? 2004,05,06 group?

That’s obviously the case, but will any country be able stop these Belarusian powerhouse age groups in the future or will they take over the sport completely?

Did you see the u18 wjc game? It was even (playing-wise).

Kolosov, Klimich, Kuzmin, Sushko, Oksenytuk, Solovyov, Kolyachonok, Protas, Sharangovich, Yeryomenko, Suvorov, Sidorov, Polshakov, Morozov, Klavdiev, Bourash, Rogach, Pinchuk.

Lots of good young players.

Yup, Sweden won without major problems. Actually, Russia had more trouble with Belarus. Would you rate Russia on par with BLR? I guess no.

The list of players is impressive for a non-elite nation. I guess, they are ahead of Latvia finally.
However, Sushko for example is considered to be one of the best prospects in BLR. He is 1999, had a very pedestrian career in AHL so far, and last year was not impactful in KHL.
There are several swedish 1999 born players in NHL.
Sharangovich is 1998 had a nice rookie season last year, but there is a way better swedish player born the same year on his own team.

Etc, etc. This list is nowhere near swedish list if we are talking ages from 1998 to 2004 as you listed.

So, this rankings are for 2002 and 2003 groups?

From 2002 to 2006. Sweden might have some higher tops, but Belarus overall is better. But not big difference. Notice that i put Sweden at 7th and Belarus as 6th. A small edge to Belarus.

2002 to 2006 then

Ok, 2002 group won U18 WJC with 2001 group, won silver at Hlinka, and there was no U18 WJC that year.
2003 group won bronze at U18 WJC, there was no Hlinka that year.
2004 group won bronze at Hlinka this year

2005 and 2006 didn't play in tournaments. Belarus either, so I wonder, maybe you have some insight into hockey in BLR and there is a golden generation upcoming but the 2002, 2003 and 2004 groups so far have outperformed Finland and Czechia, and Slovakia except for Hlinka this year, but Slovakia 2004 is very top heavy, swedish group is deeper.

So, putting Russia ahead for 2003 and 2004 is understandable. For 2002, no, because Russia is amybe deeper, they are lacking of top prospects from that age.

Putting Slovakia ahead of Sweden for ages from 2002 to 2006 is obviously wrong, because 2002 and 2003 are pretty one-sidedly in advantage to Sweden and 2004 is even at best, while 2005 and 2006 too early to tell

Putting Finland and espescailly Czechia ahead of Sweden is not based on anything.

Putting Belarus ahead of any of classic powerhouses is very bold and demands some justification, but you don't really provide it. If the best BLR has are their players in CHL, then it is a resounding no even with 2003 and 2004. 2002 Is obviously not comparable

Why isn´t Kulich in the 1st round? He is already better than Necas at the same age. Is he ignored only because he is playing for Karlovy Vary?

Where is Kirill Kudryavtsev? Vladimir Grudinin?

Grudinin (5’10, 158) – Ranked at 172
I am not a big fan of under-sized d-men, particular one that weighs in the 150s. Grudinin, while being a d-man of considerable skill who has looked good on the international scene, will have a hard time being successful on defense in the NHL. It comes down to the math, lack of reach and strength. Even a superstar-type like Quinn Hughes struggles on defense when not in possession of the puck. By my calculations, there were only 11 under-sized d-men in the NHL, less if you consider the ones you might want on your team. Here is the breakdown by height of the top 7 d-men per team in the NHL.

Kudryavtsev (5’11’ 196) – Ranked at 133
I realize that my ranking of Kudryavstev is below many – 28th in the OHL. By comparison, the OHL Prospect Guru, Brock Otten has him 17th. The NHL has him as a C (rounds 4 to 7). However, in the games I have seen Kudryavtsev, he has done nothing to cause me to want to improve his ranking substantially. The season is still young so hopefully I will get to see him in a better light as the season goes on.

Is Shane Wright still unquestionable #1 Pick of 2022 NHL Draft?

Did the field catch him up?

As long as the Rangers don't take him you have nothing to worry about.
