1: Vladimir Tarasenko-RW-Only question is when will he come over, he's Marian Hossa part 2 when does.
2: Jaden Schwartz-C-Super skilled but will he be able to withstand the rigors of the NHL...probably.
3: Jake Allen-G-Plays well wherever he goes but did struggle down the stretch in Peoria.
4: Ian Cole-D-Absolute bull but gets knocked down a spot because of 5 concussions.
5: Ty Rattie-LW-Has to prove he can play without Bartschi, also needs 20 pounds, top 6 potential easily.
6: Evgeny Grachev-LW/C-Has outstanding size and tools but someone needs to light a fire under him.
7: Phil McRae-C-Not an overwhelming talent but great in the faceoff circle and likely 2nd/3rd line center.
8: Dmitri Jaskin-RW-Very good amount of talent but needs to produce more and show more consistency.
9: Joel Edmundson-D-Big, nasty 6'5" defenseman with booming shot, needs weight and experience.
10: Ben Bishop-G-May never be more than a backup goalie but we'll see about that.

The Blues were able to add 4, top 10 prospects in this draft. Their depth was starting to thin out a bit but 3, 2nd round picks that were used beautifully plus a 3rd round pick that was traded for an NHL ready power forward has restored the depth in the system.

The pick swap with Colorado looks great considering Ty Rattie is a 1st round prospect and wasn't rated too far behind Duncan Siemens in most rankings.

The Blues appear set up to grab a defenseman with their 1st round pick next draft. Apparently that draft will be rich with good d-men so that is nice.

Oh my god... That is one solid list of prospects. :amazed: Ottawa has an amazing future.

It is pretty amazing the turn around we made in 3 years.. not one of the prospects we had 3 years ago can crack our top 10, maybe even top 15-20

My Opinion

Wings:

1) Brendan Smith
2) Tomas Tatar
3) Calle Jarnkrok
4) Gustav Nyqvist
5) Jan Mursak
6) Riley Sheahan
7) Teemu Pulkkinen
8) Dick Axelsson
9) Petr Mrazek
10) Tomas Jurco

Axelsson isnt in the top 10 are you kidding me? With his attitude he'll be lucky if he plays in the NHL. Sure he has the talent but Babcock doesnt like players with his attitude.

HM: Repik, Bengtsson, Trocheck, Shaw, Cheverie, Jenks, Wilson, Brickley, Comrie, Donskoi, Timmins, Brittain, Hazen, Pacan... and so on. Sick prospect-pool!

- Leaved out Dadonov, not sure if he qualifies as a prospect anymore.
I'd agree with that list except for McFarland. I'd put Corbin Knight in that #10 spot after the season he just had. Also yes Dadonov technically still qualifies as a prospect so he'd be around the 6-10 area, maybe higher but just not sure (probably pushing McFarland/Knight out then anyway).

True. Also, despite his struggles McCollum is still a better prospect than Mrazek for now.

I'm going to call Mursak graduated since it seems like he will be with the big club come hell or high water. I lean more towards prospects that have done as much as they could where they're at and less on 'potential'.

Good list. Again, I'd have to see Mrazek succeed at the AHL level for him to leapfrog McCollum. I like them both, but McCollum is bigger and was better at the junior level. I love Mrazek's compete level, and he could likely pass McCollum at the next level. It is all mental with McCollum, he has everything but confidence.

6th overall in 2008, PPG player in KHL (with no secondary assists). Despite his problems in Columbus, he still has the raw talent that got him drafted so high. That is to take nothing away from Zibanejad though.
The KHL gives out secondary assists.
