The #habs give up prospect Sebastien Collberg and a conditional second-round pick for Tomas Vanek.

CONDITIONAL? Oh man. Wonder what that condition is.

Uncle Daddy got a nice reality check today, those saying great to not see him in another uniform, Brodeur has made no hint towards retirement, he might just sign with someone in free agency of course once he is out there with no trades and his phone doesn't ring maybe he will get it then.

the Habs have a decent prospect pool, but they don't have any crown jewels. There's nobody the Wings couldn't have matched.

Not that I wanted Vanek, but still.

Sure, we could have matched, but did we want to? What if it took a Mantha/Jarnkrok/Jurco/Sproul for a guy that might only play 20 games for us?

I seriously doubt he signs there, not to mention that Subban bridge they all bragged about is going to bite them hard, they aren't going to have a ton of money.

I think it's great for Montreal, because they're pretty safely in the playoffs. Wouldn't be good for the Wings, though. Not because of price, but because it wouldn't do much.

Why Andersson? The point of Legwand was that we need Centers.

I'm guessing a mid round pick or two and a contract. Cleary, Eaves, Tootoo, Sammy or some Piche level AHL player (no one comes to mind off the top of my head.)
