Sure man the 2 years remaining at 9 mil on Subban's contract after this season is going to prevent the Devils from making a lot of moves. You're acting like it's a long term deal, it's short term on a team that has 8 players (including Subban) signed for the 21-22 season. They will have plenty of flexibility.

As I recall it took them about ten games after the Maclean fiasco before that team went on a tear, and that was with Lemaire coaching. Why bother getting worked up now? The season's been over since Halloween.

The owners are billionaires who barring Hall signing are not going to have a cap team for the forseeable future. And his real salary goes down to 8 million in the next two seasons.

No one disagrees with that, his cap hit being 9 million is why the Devils were able to get him without sacrificing anything crazy. Shero knew that and knew that it wouldn't kill the Devils future cap flexibility. It sucks how it turned out so far but it's a completely justifiable move

It took Lemaire a week before he got the team to not look like total ass in 2011.

I’ll give Nas about two weeks since he isn’t anywhere near Lemaire’s level, but I don’t think anything changes this season.

was entertaining. we are creating more quality chances. giving up chances also. not playing good hockey by any stretch. but its watchable.. just killing time until the trade deadline and off season at this point.. would like to see if they can get 20 games in with the core of next years team.. i don't imaging we will be active in free agency this season unless there is a goalie available ...
