Good list actually, surprised Ortio is that high though lol. Also in the offseason I fought tooth and nail to say Ferland should be in the top 20 so it makes me happy to see him get some love and be in the top 15. Kulak should be right behind Culkin, because they are forever attached at the hip, and as a final note, I think Roy should be slightly higher. Otherwise I think it's very accurate.

Yeah I was upset that Culkin and Kulak weren't together again, but with Kanzig in there we've got a trio now

I wouldn't say easily, that top 10 is tough to crack. The guys ahead of him have higher or at least equal to potential. He's ranked right where he should be IMO. He could easily be a riser though.

Great job with the poll! Much more efficient than how we do it in the summertime.

I think the top-6 is almost bang on with my views, I'd just swap Gillies and Porier. Also tempted to swap Jankowski and Arnold... if Arnold had been a first rounder and Jankowski a 4th, I think people's views would be much different.

I would be careful what you say about Harrison, his low key profile fits the bill of a serial killer perfectly. That young man scares me.

It makes zero sense to me. Billins is our arguably our best defensive prospect if you factor NHL readiness, now that he's the 35 points in 48 games and is leading all defenseman in Abbotsford by a wide margin. Even Eric Roy is having a very good season in the CHL. Harrison has like, what, 9 points in the NCAA? He will be lucky is even becomes a career AHLer!?

I don't know if people were thinking of someone else or what?

Both Oliver Roy and Kanzig are in the wrong spot. Both those guys should be in the low 25-never range. Especially Roy! His career is practically done.

Roy is 22 and he's a goalie, it would be foolish to count him out completely. Although he's certain not on the level of our other goalie prospects.

22 in the ECHL? Brossoit was 20 and even he was fresh off Junior.

It's the truculence factor, it's this years Flames buzz word, everyone is obsessed with it. Harrison didn't even make my list

Kanzig I can get. He had a really good training camp and there was excellent reports of him in development camp. The season he's having isn't the greatest, but whatever, its fun thinking about a monster of a defenseman taking huge leaps in his development and hopefully becoming an NHLer

That is a surprisingly accurate reflection of our current pool.

The two slight issues I have is seeing both of Gilmour and Rafikov so low on the list. I would have both of those players significantly higher personally.

He's not having the best season with Abbotsford since he only has 8 points in 42 games. Not great for an offensive defensemen, but he could be trying to focus on his defensive game.

I am not sure where you got that from?
Tyler Wotherspoon has never been regarded as such and is certainly not the type of player that will put up eye-popping offensive totals at the professional level.

He is without a doubt a defense first type of player that relies heavily on his high end positioning and relatively strong first pass out of the zone.

I would have Arnold higher myself but the top players are pretty much right.

The next time this is done I think the thread should be locked for comments so nobody can post their own lists for others to see until the voting is done.

I love seeing Kulak at 20.... I think he's going to be one of our biggest surprises in the near future! I think he's a hidden gem in our pool!
