Karlsson can't play defense is so stupid and still used to this day.

He can play defense but it's not like he's really good at it or anything. Got exposed a lot defensively in the NYR series, maybe because the injuries but still didn't impress me in the regular season defensively either.

Oilers fans label RNH as a 2-way forward, but he's not good offensively or defensively. He's a 0-way forward.

It's not as bad as it used to be but Corey Crawford still gets called a "system goalie."

People consider Crawford an elite goalie as well, which isn't true either.

in some circles, I've heard people refer to Tanner Glass as a hockey player.

Lot's of people try and refer to Vatanen as a bottom pairing PP specialist, which is a huge undersell. He plays 20+ mins per night in all situations, including excelling on the PK.

After the sharks series, coming into ducks series all I heard was how under rated RNH was and how he would be okay matched up vs getz. People were saying he was becoming a top notch 2way player idk if they used elite but def got pumped up pretty good

Yeah there were many folks raving about how he shut down Thornton and would do the same to Getzlaf.
