Another trollfest on the defensive end. We genuinely should have lost 3-1 that game, and got fortunate they scuffed those chances. Just brutal. Luke Shaw is the only current defender that doesn't make me want to launch myself into the sun on a consistent basis

Lol he blows the full time whistle literally as a cross is going into the box.

Was well past the allotted time. The ball was actually in midfield when it hit 5 minutes injury time, so be glad he let you have one more go at it. I know United fans are used to the team getting as much injury time as needed to score a goal from back in the day, but Sir Alex is no longer roaming the sidelines.

If he was only going to give exactly 5 minutes (despite WBA wasting some time in the extra time) then it should have been blown then.

It wasn’t about the total time directly, but rather the fact that he felt it could continue until right until the ball into the box was actually in the air.

Same thing in the first half. WBA took 2 full minutes to take two corners, he gave them an extra couple chances on the second corner and then suddenly United are on about a 5 on 3 break and he blows it dead.

He managed stoppage time awfully this game. He was awful overall in general and the entire officiating process was pathetic.

It’s not the reason United lost, but the fact that the PL continues to accept this atrocious standard is pathetic.

Allardyce teams with the right players actually play quite decent stuff. He now has the big man (Diagne), and Pereira, Diangana and Gallagher as creators. Big Sam was the first coach in England to play a modern 4-3-3 with interiors..

That was not remotely a “decent” performance by West Brom. It was parking the bus and hitting in the counter a couple times, and taking advantage of United’s defenders being a hot mess in space.

West Brom created multiple chances in settled possession.

I didn’t catch much of the first half, but I literally don’t remember a single one in the second.

Their best chances were within 10 seconds of the ball being in their own half or off a corner.
They created chances with direct football but definately not just from pure counter attacks. The Peltier cross towards Diagne in the end, after Gallaghers intelligent pass, is a good example. The chance was arguably in transition but they had plenty of those and plenty of them from nice passages of play with a few great moves and passes.

That was 2 touches after a goal kick. It may not be a counter per se, but it’s far from settled possession.

The Diagne double chance after he pulled down Maguire was just booting it long and having him chase it.

The bad cross that missed Diagne was a counter.

In other news, Leeds Arsenal should be an excellent game.

Arsenals defensive line and midfield doesn’t deal well with pressure and that’s what Leeds does. Meanwhile, Arsenal can actually be good at hitting teams with space and Leeds definitely leaves that all over the pitch. Should have good chances on both sides.

Arsenal are the much better team to start, but Raphinha looks creative and dangerous, as always

Ødegaard needs to move much more. Much less effective than ESR. Needs to get open for passes.

Disgusting decision. Another decision that costs us a game. It's an Arsenal player. He's obviously never giving a pen there, but otherwise, there is a penalty given.
