I still think Atlético was the most dangerous team they could have drawn. It won’t be a cake walk.

TV contracts already had promised game slots in them and those were negotiated prior to the winter break being a thing.

Basically the PL had promised NBC et al that there’d be a game on Friday and a game on Monday for this weekend, so given the realities of the winter break stacking on top of that means the games are super spread out.
