That was the strangest offside sequence I've ever seen.
West Ham boot it forward and the wide player is offside. Leicester defender jogs back with his hand up and the attacker basically stops running. Official never raises his flag. Ball ends up stopping right before the end line and the Leicester defender just stood there watching it. The West Ham attacker waited for a few seconds before running up to get it. Once he takes it, the whistle is blown, theoretically for offside although the flag still didn't go up that I saw.
Leicester gets the free kick, but they initially give it to them right in front of the end line instead of where the last defender was. Then they seemed to split the difference and let Schmeichel run 15 yards forward and take it.
It made no sense at all
