Also, it seems GMBM made them better at TDL while clearing some cap space for next several years. Hard to complain about that too. Good winger was a need and GMBM delivered. Hopefully Mantha's work ethic wont go down the drain.

I'd caution not to get too excited based on this game and to wait until the Capitals actually play an NHL team, but their next two games are Buffalo and then the Flyers again...

He paid a pick to get out of his own cap trouble on the Panik contract, and changing Vrana for Mantha doesn't save them any cap space. The salary cap angle on the trade is not one that should paint GMBM favorably.
