I think it’s easy to bash him last season because he didn’t have any notably above average regulars. So there was a ludicrous amount of substitution.

In addition, aside from Nola the starting pitching required a lot of support after the 5th inning—a lot of relief appearances as a result

Phillies just traded catcher Lenin Rodriguez to the O's for international bonus money. I'm a bit surprised they gave up on him but it was clear they had too many catchers at the lower levels so he was likely the odd man out as they have Marchan and Duran as highly touted young catchers in the system and others they just brought in like O'Hoppe, Silva, Abrahan Gutierrez, and Mitch Edwards.
