This team is at the point where some tough love might be required to get better.

The Sabres found success last season playing this style, but a season later, the league has figured out how to play against this team. You just need to slow them down when they wind up, you just need to get in the passing lanes and pressure the player handling the puck into turing the puck over. There is no support of the puck, there is no dump and retrieve the puck in the ozone. The league has adjusted and the Sabres and Granato are not evolving.

If he wants Power and Joki to play fewer minutes, with Sammy hurt, he basically has no options besides overloading Dahlin or Bryson.

He’s being given too few quality, experienced players to work with. I truly don’t think any coach can make playoffs with this roster
