Lehtera is scratched for the Phantoms
You mean the Okposo who put up ES scoring numbers of 39, 35 (pro-rated), 54, 33, 41
Moulson 38, 45, 48 (pro-rated), replaced by Vanek 32, Bailey 37, 27, 44
I'll take them over Laughton and Simmonds.
Protecting the asset until the trade deadline.Lehtera is scratched for the Phantoms
I’m pretty sure Kerr and Zezel, and Co. put up some pretty impressive pp numbers in 84-85. However you’re right, Eklund was fantastic at feeding Kerr down low, but when it came to bringing the puck up and gaining the zone, Howe was a master.Howe wasn't really that great on the PP. In an era where people like Bourque, MacInnis and Coffey would get 40+ points a year on the PP, Howe was getting 20-25. The Flyers' PP didn't really become elite until Pelle Eklund arrived.
Frost finishes with 4 assists.
I wonder how much Tavares had to do with their success?
Patrick wasn’t as good of a prospect as Tavares and he’s not nearly as good of a NHL player
Allison had several good chances in the first. No Finnish.
Not finishing your scoring chances is as Finnish as you can get.
At 17:
JT 59g 40-78 118 +22 PO: 15g 3-13 16 +3 - 6'1 207
Patrick 72g 41-61 102 +51 PO: 21g 13-17 30 +19 - 6'2 198
Tavares was the better scorer, but Patrick even in juniors was a top two way player, and he shows the same skills in the NHL.
1.32 pp/60, 1.97 pp/60, 2.17 pp/60
Patrick
1.50 pp/60, 1.46 pp/60
Both were 19 their rookie season.
Yes, He was Russian their D into bad passes. Showed some Swede hands too.Did he at least show some good foreCzeching?
but where is Timonen? why not in top 10?When it comes to just running the pp, the best I ever saw in a Flyers uniform would be:
1. Mark Howe
2. Ghost
3. Paul Coffey (he was past his prime when he was here, but still very good)
4. Bill Barber
5. Chris Pronger
6. Steve Duchesne
7. Mark Streit
8. Garry Galley
9. Bob Dailey
10. Eric Desjardins
Honorable mentions: Behn Wilson, Tom Bladon, Kimmo Timonen
