He'll turn pro next year and probably spend the season in the AHL. Then after Simmonds's new 6 year contract ends, Allison should hopefully be ready to fill his spot in the year 2024-2025.

He lost Weal late in the season. Hextall’s shown a real reluctance in calling up players in season unless of an injury. No one has ever just got called up because they’re playing well. I don’t expect anything to change there.

Its a pretty terrible philosophy.
