Serious question. If no one is willing to give up an asset for Cave in a trade do you keep him on the roster the entire year then?Is this sarcasm?
Also, I don’t care if Cave is a “dime a dozen” player (which I’m not sure I agree with), it’s poor asset management to lose him for nothing.
Even if Cehlarik is an NHL player, I don’t believe he’s what they need in the Top 6 to compete for a title this year.
I am a Sweeney fan, but not a fan of this sequence of events.
I don't think it's a big deal to lose a potential 3rd or 4th line guy especially when we have a ton of them already on the roster and when we signed him undrafted for no assets to begin with.
