Oh no, I'm not worried. Our lines have generally looked good at even-strength, except for Malkin's for obvious reasons. But giving all those plum zone starts to the 4th line to hide their deficiencies plays a part in the slow ES production, I'm sure.

Interesting that Crosby's line has lowest Off zone start% and Malkin line has highest QOC. Don't know what they are trying to do here

Adams is so not on my list of worries right now. Bennett healthy and a trade and he may never play for the Penguins again.

More worried about Scuds and his bloated, crappy contract.
I just hope if he starts playing really poorly, they put him in the press box.
Theres also a part of me that wants him to improve and become a tastier option for other teams to trade for.
Anything to get him gone and giving guys like Harrington/Bort and even Despres(yes he'll sit when Bort's back) more NHL playing time.

i could see them preferring the first line to win the faceoff (which sid is the best at) and transition. they get a lot of odd man breaks

Quote:
Only the Buffalo Sabres (3) have less even strength goals on the year than the Penguins (6).

From the teams that played 4 games, only Arizona (1 more) and Minnesota (2 more) scored more 5v5 goals than the Penguins.

Other teams with 4 games all scored the same amount.

Also, that quote isn't even correct. Florida is the only team with less - not that it matters. But that is Hockeybuzz for ya.

Sutter is the shutdown centre on this team and Sid is the best face-off option.

Yeah and Johnston also seems to be making more of an effort to keep Sid away from the toughest match-ups. That could explain why the Dupuis Sutter Malkin combination is facing the highest QOC.
