But people have got to stop blaming Murray for games like this, he's had games where he's clearly stunk and tonight isn't really his fault. He could have stopped maybe 1-2 of those, but the Pens defense has been ass. Absolute ass.

The thing is that even with them playing like ass, a 2-0 deficit isn't that out of the question. a 4-0 deficit is. It's not MMs fault that they pens were awful tonight or are losing, but he is still allowed to make saves when the Pens aren't great.

This roster deserves the benefit of the doubt. It’s not very flawed when healthy, Toronto would be a total joke if they didn’t really take it to the Pens after their goalie basically saved their season in period one.

Sorry, I'm just afraid it's not enough. Not in the way the game is being played structurally right now, with the Pens speed advantage of 3 years ago pretty much gone.

Anything CAN happen, of course, but it will be an uphill climb after round 1 or 2.

oh yeah. I'm not leaning on the broken leg thing as a crutch for him. He's mega bad all around.

With the way our D is built, basically defensive guys on the left, puck movers/skaters on the right, we really need to have one for the 3rd pair as well. Even if it's a lesser type, but someone in that vain, because JS has just been beyond awful.

People have this need to blame Murray or Jarry for games where the Pens defense has absolutely given up and the offense didn't help at all. In this game, it's both, in the games Jarry was getting hung out to dry, Pens were out chanced in the 3rd period something like 1 scoring chance for, 30+ against or something ridiculous. Jarry has been better overall, but in no f***ing way is this game Murray's fault.
