Parody of the classic ‘The Trees’ by Rush

There is unrest on the Leaf Boards
There is trouble with the Leafs
As the Team suffers more losses
Members question faith in Keefe

The trouble with the Maples
And they're quite convinced they're right
They say our players are all softies
We need guys who can hit and fight

But the Team can't help their style
If Dubas likes the way they're made
And I wonder if some Leaf Members
Are more happy throwing shade?

There is trouble on the Leafs Board
Possible Playoff miss looms ahead
As the haters laugh, “We told you so!”
The Hard Core start a Main Board Thread

So the Pens showed them Tuesday
Which style is in the right
To win in spite of adversity
Hard work will win each night

Now there's a rematch to watch today
They’ve been scolded by Mr. Keefe
Tonight we stand together
Again, let’s crush,
The Maple
Leafs

This is a classic case of hard work (and skill)(Pittsburgh) showing why skill (without hard work and grit)(the leafs) is not a way to build a team. Pittsburgh is built properly, and should not have any issues tonight.

It honestly might not be a bad idea to keep malkin out. He’s not really needed, so why not let him recover fully for an extra day?

I think the Pens might have to survive early as the Leafs ought to come out on fire given the last game and the hammering they are taking in the Toronto media. Otoh, I haven't really seen much pushback from this Leafs team and they always seem ready to collapse at the first sign of adversity. If we can get them down the crowd will turn on them. So survive any early desperation from the Leafs and then bury this team.

Leafs are really bad on D without Reilly. Muzzin is the Jason Thompson of the 1984 Pirates. He looks good because nothing is good around him. Anderson was folding the tent last year and Pens ran out of time plus that BS call on Dumo on his goal. Wait till the Leafs witness the full power of the Pens space station.

He’s needed...we can’t count on going 100% on the PP again and Leafs, despite their issues, outplayed us 5on5...if he feels good, he should play...

Meh. They outplayed us for ~10 minutes between late 2nd period thru early 3rd period. Outside of that, we dominated.

Heck, we even dominated them when it was 3 vs 5!
