Glad JR didn't go full on idiot and give up a ton to get Duchene, although I was hoping for Landeskog or Kane.

I bet MAF is in tonight. And hes probably rewarding us for not tradig him by letting in 6+ goals.

Wouldn't surprise me at all.
Luckily the 7/11 is still open. Still time to get that bottle

I think the summer before the expansion draft will be a real good time to watch.

I figured they'd end up adding some defensive depth but I'm annoyed at losing some C depth and Bonino sucking makes that more worrying. Corrado I'm moderately happy about, maybe they can make something decent out of him as their new project.

Maybe Sunny will get a look at some point.

Frankie Corrado sounds like the name of an actor in spaghetti Westerns.

Edit: or a 1970s body builder

Empoleon8771, I'm not mad about the deals. For me it's like whatever. It was my response to people who think that picks are overrated.
In my opinion JR often overpays/slightly overpays in his deals. But it's just my opinion, I'm not saying everyone should think so.

So let's recap. Here's what the Penguins did:

-Got rid of a cap problem they had in Fehr
-Got rid of a bad player problem they had in Olesky
-Brought in a 23 year old D prospect that fits the system for basically a 4th
-Brought in a 39 year old PPQB for a 4th next year
-Brought in a steady 35 year old defensive D for a 2nd this year

So why are people complaining about this deadline? They cut some of the dead weight on their roster and fixed their D depth for basically nothing outside of the 2nd round pick.

For people complaining, look at who was traded. Outside of grabbing Duchene which a lot of teams tried and couldn't, what exactly did you want? Not many teams did much of anything to improve dramatically. Complaining about being underwhelmed is one thing but who did you want that was actually available and moved?

Ott, King, Iginla, Lazar... these are the types of guys that were moved and there was little activity. I can't imagine the reaction if we grabbed those guys.
