Weren’t people saying that Buffalo was ahead of the Leafs in their rebuild 5 years ago?
Better future: Buffalo Sabres vs Toronto Maple Leafs
With the Buffalo Sabres' acquisition of Rasmus Dahlin, I was wondering which Atlantic Division Eastern Conference team you think will be better in the future (2-4 year). Dahlin, Eichel, Mittelstadt, Risto etc Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Rielly etc Buffalo probably has the better core, Toronto...forums.hfboards.com
One year signing I have no problem on a one yr. 2+ yrs you get int cap troubleWhat's the risk? Cap room we are not going to use?

Not for 2+ yrs given the risk associated to this injury. He needs to prove it.I would say Buffalo is still in the mix
Is that your opinion or do you have some sort of insider knowledge? One year signing I have no problem on a one yr. 2+ yrs you get int cap trouble
you ideally need stability in coach and gm. The team did not.

Please. He doesn't have to prove anything for two years. That's nothing. Leafs may sign him and know they can throw him LTIR if it doesn't work out. Buffalo doesn't spend to cap so real dollars matter more. Sabres are probably doing math on ticket sales and stuffOne year signing I have no problem on a one yr. 2+ yrs you get int cap trouble

That's just where all the smoke is pointing to.What’d ya see?
6 SOG in 2+ periods with all that offensive firepowerHe's really not though. Granato has FINALLY gotten through to a couple of guys that defense is now a necessary thing if we want to win.
Kane is a one-way offensive threat who may not even be a threat if past results repeat themselves as far as the hip resurfacing goes.
Buffalo, in theory, has plenty of offensive firepower. What Buffalo NEEDS is a 4th line center to help out defensively. And maybe a 3rd line winger in the Greenway mode -- someone who can chip in a little offense but primarily knows that his job is to work the boards and play defense.
