Seeing Esa Tikkanen being a Selke finalist for 3 straight years made me spit my coffee on my keyboard......
I wanted to throw up. I hated that little pos.

I didn't know that hooking, holding and interfering for an entire game was all that you needed to do to get a Selke nomination......I wanted to throw up. I hated that little pos.

He definitely was a more smooth skater as a 20 year old but he was still scoring off the rush in 2013/14 and 2015/16 when he scored 30. I don't have it broken down like above, but these are the raw totals:I still think Bergy skates really well, but I've always thought the Jones hit really changed some things with what his ceiling could have been. Obviously not a shocker considering how horrible the concussion was. That hit doesn't happen, injuries aside I think he'd have 100-200 more points

That was when he was 28 and 30, those two 30-goal seasons. I just looked at all seasons that he scored 30 goals as they were all between 30-32 goals. This was his age 30 season? Clearly he's changing his game to still be effective. I'm all for it. He doesn't seem to be slowing down to me.

Lol whoops, that should be switched with Anderson, good catchWow, Kane has played a truckload of playoff games
Lol I didn't think he had played that many more than Bergeron, both made the final three timesLol whoops, that should be switched with Anderson, good catch
In his last 35 playoff games At Even Strength
Bergeron 3G 6A 9P
his game logs post round 1 vs Toronto where he and the 1st line went nuts And had a combined 30 points in the series with a lot of that coming 5on5....since that series in 2018 I haven’t noticed him much besides for the PP in the playoffs
Other guys during that time frame
DeBrusk 7G 4A 11P
Krejci 5G 13A 18P
Pastrnak 8G 9A 17 P
Marchand 9G 9A 18 P
Coyle 8G 5A 13P
Bergeron has basically become a power play specialist for the last few playoff series
really concerned about him he has not looked good against Carolina at all if Mrazek didn’t forget where the net is in OT Bergeron would have pretty much given us nothing this series

If ice conditions are playing a role that should improve. If Bruins advance to Round 2, they won't have to go on after another team on the same ice sheet in the same day, and there will be way more time for ice maintenance. Past that, Edmonton's ice conditions clearly look better than Toronto.hopefully his hands come in round 2. because marshy has been puttimg them on a plate for him.
