He's also the oldest player of that bunch, by a significant margin over everybody except for Ovechkin

The funny thing is, I think he could play for another 5-6 years. Now I don't think you'll get this same Bergeron offensively, but towards the end of his career he could still be a very good, defensive center that kills penalties in a 3rd line role.

Patrice Bergeron does not regularly participate in pounding DeBrusk. On those infrequent occasions that the veteran does join in, DeBrusk usually holds his tongue.
“There’s certain guys you can’t really chirp back,” DeBrusk said. “Like if Bergy gives you a good chirp, it’s almost like you’ve got to accept it. Because Bergy’s God.”

Where's this quote from? That's great.

Sometimes it's like he lives 2-3 seconds in the future, the way he reads plays.

Thank you and @dafoomie for all the work you put into this
Was hoping that would take off more than it did, especially at a time where people aren't craving hockey. Just in comparison to the 5 min one we did people were eating that up and it seemed to be received a lot better but I guess it's probably too niche to have that broad of an appeal with this long of a selection. Hopefully the Marchand one will do better, it won't be nearly as long and will be really flashy.

I'm pretty biased because I love Bergy more than any athlete in my lifetime. And i think you and sort have similar appreciation for the cerebral side of the game, so i loved both videos and I really respect the amount of work you and Dafoomie must have put into this

So this is pretty cool. For all the voted-on trophies (Hart, Norris, Selke, Vezina, Byng, Adams), this is a complete list of players that have been nominated for any given trophy 5+ times in a row.

If Bergeron gets nominated this year, he'll move ahead of Orr and Boucher and only be behind Gretzky for most consecutive nominations for any award. Obviously Selke doesn't equal Hart, but it's a crazy string of consistency for his niche.

By nominated, do you mean top 3 finalist? Because I think he's at ten top 5?
