I read somewhere that it is standard for him to submit a list of teams he won’t go to. Which was the catalyst for everything that followed.

Uh, no wrong. Dale is not oblivious. He knows we need a defenseman. Kiselevich did not turn out to be the shutdown stalwart he had hoped for. He tried to trade for McDonagh. He knows we need another top 4 defenseman. And given the mandate by ownership to win now, he's definitely going to get his man. We've been tied to a lot of rumors of top 4 defensemen lately.
