Just out of curiosity... Who would take A. Panarin (LW) over E. Karlsson (RHD)?

If Panarin can play as well as a RW I'd take him over Karlsson.

Panarin is and should be far and away the top guy on the list. He's a top 10 winger and an elite game breaking player.

Also they clearly ranked the lower/mid tier of the list based on points because 100% im taking Kevin Hayes over Dzingel.

For those making projections, the flyers have some of the most cap space in the league. Coupled with the changes made this year and the reasons why, they will be in on several guys. Panarin, Duchene, Hayes maybe EK seem to be fits or niceties.

I don’t think Panarin and bob is any kind of lock to go to Florida

I see several teams pitching Panarin offers
Yea I agree. The odds seem favored to the Panthers. To the point that if they traded for his and bobs rights, a deal is likely getting done. But if not, the panthers have to go for Bob first and then panarin. He will get some great offers.

Panarin and Bob to Florida. Would honestly be shocked if it doesn't happen at this point.
If Florida lands Panarin, would the Panthers be open to something around Letang and Hoffman+?

I’ve heard Panthers fans would want to upgrade their blue line via Hoffman if Panarin signs.

Would do Letang 1m retained (so 6.25m for 3 years) and Simon for Hoffman and Heponiemi?

Ekblad/Letang/Matheson/Yandle is a really good top 4

No way Skinner is signing 7 to Dallas or he would already be signed to Buffalo. The guy wants to be close to Toronto and Dallas is the exact opposite of that, hes not gonna take a massively reduced pay to play in Dallas.
Do you think he should get more than 7 million a year?

Haha though known more for his offensive ability, Letang has been nominated for Norris a handful of times as he’s a solid defender.

As for the Pens, I’m sure Kessel would be dealt for defensive help after a trade like this.

How’s the value though? Also would you do it?

How do you figure?

You’re saying Letang with retention is not even worth Hoffman alone??

Lol come on man
All his posts are bait.

Don't see Pittsburgh trading letang. Your defense would be one of the worst in the league. Whoever you trade kessel for isn't going to be a letang caliber defenseman.

While this would be true, I think we could get a substantial D back for Kessel. Ellis from Nashville would replace him pretty well.

But also our D stinks now and we need a major overhaul so I think management would at least entertain the idea of moving pieces around like Letang.

Assuming Pitt would, does Florida do this trade?

We need a defensive Dman for the second pairing.

Also puts about 26 to 30 million in the defense while assuming we are paying almost 12 to 15 million for Bobby and Luongo. Not sure how we could swing that with our stated plans this offseason. Also only see this as possible if we replaced Hoffmans points via UFA or another trade.

Maybe if we miss on one of our targets. Value is ok.

Gardiner is not going to the Wild. They already have Suter and Brodin on the left side, and aren't going to sign him to play third pairing.

I see what you mean with Panarin, but I think Bobrovsky to Florida is all but guaranteed. He fills a huge need there, and they're in a position to give him the contract he wants.

The Panthers will be an interesting team to follow this summer. If there's actually some smoke to the Malkin rumors, I wonder if Malkin+Bob will be the Russian duo headed to South Florida instead of Panarin+Bob.

A deal with Pittsburgh involving Trocheck makes way too much sense.

Do Panirin and Bobrovsky realize that the Panthers are a joke of a team that would suck even if they both signed there?

Add those 2 and the Panthers won't be a joke anymore.

I think Bread winds up either in Florida or the Rangers. Bob to Florida.
