Thank you for routing Barrie, couldn't think of a better team to get waxed by a converted touchdown and a field goal.

3rd period penalty summary looks like a typical Barrie is getting beat summary.

Was the knee Tucker got called for a bad one?

180 degree turnaround after the season opener versus Ottawa.

Watching the game saw several things that the team built on tonight over the home opener. The intensity was there and the speed showed no sign of letting up later on in the later stages of the game versus the Colts.

Guzda had probably the best game of his OHL career making key saves on some of the Colts top firepower, will the Guz stood on his head the firepower we all thought was here was certainly on display against the Colts.

With the top guys stepping up and rookies adding insurance when needed the 10-0 offensive on-slot against Barrie was a glimpse of what this team can do this season when the team stays focused and sticks to the intensity the results will continue to come.

On to Guelph tomorrow against the Storm with confidence and a well earned 2 road points in the bank.

Didnt watch the game but was Guzda really that good on the 22 shots? Or was it maybe partially that Barrie wasn't getting near as many chances that helped. Maybe of the 22 there were a ton of good scoring chances and if so thats awesome. Either way though props on the shut out. Its nice to go to barrie and spank the Colts for once

10 of those 22, were point blank scoring chances, that last year were easy goals. He was very very solid!

I'd say it was a mix of Guzda playing like a starter and showing why he is a starter for the team and the Colts taking some emotional penalties that cost them ice and scoring chances against the team.

When the team forced the Colts to open up defensively it exposed multiple scoring chances for the guys to pounce on and they did just that, once the team set the pace to how they wanted to play the pucks hit the back of the twine and the end result was a well fought road win with a 10-0 final.

Onto Guelph tomorrow and our highway 6 rivalry versus the defending OHL champion Guelph Storm, with the offensive punch against the Colts tonight and another big test versus the Storm.

Couldn't agree more with above comments. Boys played like a team. Nice to see the power play scoring coming back. Guz made key saves when the team needed to. Congrats to the coaches and the players.

Hopefully the boys can put back to back to back games together this weekend with similar effort and results as last nights game in Barrie!

- #1 Guzda looked relaxed and steady last night, making a handful of big saves in the first half of the game. A well deserved shutout!
- Great to see the offensive production from the line of #34 Popov - #27 Dudas - #11 Groulx, with 14 total points, highlighted by a 6 point effort from #34 Popov!
- Great to see the young guns #29 Burroughs, #9 Sedley and #7 Goure contribute with work ethic and adding offence as well!
- Talk about the Powerplay coming to life, wow 6/10. That is pretty darn awesome!
- Very nice to see the team gelling together so early in the season. Players sticking up for one another, older guys getting involved when the opposition starts running around after the outcome was no longer in doubt. This is something IMO that can go a long way into building strong team chemistry with this talented Attack team.

The league did what they needed to do by assessing the situation with discipline action. Like I said after last night festivities the team played well and deserved the W.

Out of last nights game the Colts undoing was their discipline and they paid for it on the scoreboard by giving up 6 special teams goals out of 10 chances, and to top it off Guzda playing like we all expected him too against essentially a rival opponent in Barrie.

Tonight's game however will be a different test for the guys against a divisional opponent in Guelph. However if the team comes out and plays like they did last night in Barrie this team will be in for another good showing before headed home for the rematch tomorrow night.

Back to work tomorrow for the guys and redemption on the Storm.

Tonight's effort just wasn't enough to match up to the Storm in Guelph, hopes of tomorrow yielding a better outcome in the rematch. Good thing the team has no time to think on this one and right back to the ice tomorrow night and the back-half of a home and home stint.
