The white towel really does affect the infielders ability to pick up the ball. Home field advantage would be if the towels would be waved when batting only - but that would require a lot of smarks and coordination.

Yup if we keep those two off the bases we should win this game. Those two killed us in games 1 and 2 by scoring every time they got on base.

Tough to coordinate 50k no doubt. However it's not the first time players have dealt with rally towels in the stands, or sun in their eyes. They have ways of creating an angle to see the ball when it's driven on a line. It's not a completely white background.
