Sorry Daisy, but copying the avatars over puts them first because those posts pre-date this thread and the board automatically sorts on timestamp of the original post. And I don't have access to a straightforward option to change post ownership. The only way to do that for me is a complicated procedure of copying and merging posts that sometimes goes horribly, horribly wrong.

I tried to do it early in the season figuring nobody in BC would spoil the game for me before I got home.

and then by happenstance I ran into what must've been the only other guy in Langley with a Blue Jays jersey on that day and he innocently said "hey, let's hope they can overcome the deficit, eh?" after he saw me in Jays gear.

The way I see things all the pressure is on Texas to end the series tonight. Also the last time a team was up 2-0 in a Division Series and lost the series was the 2012 Cincinnati Reds who won Games 1 & 2 on the road in San Francisco and lost 3, 4, & 5 all at home. In fact Dioner Navarro happened to be on that Reds team. Plus that Giants team went onto win the World Series that year. I'm not saying the same thing won't happen to the Blue Jays, however I'm not giving up on them.

A few weeks ago a buddy said "want me to look up the Jays score for you" (he knows I PVR it) and his gf said "they won against the Red Sox" not knowing. I watched the game. They were down by 3, I think, in the 9th and scored 2 and had the winning run at the plate and lost. She was thinking of the game the night before I was so pumped thinking of the comeback.

Perez, despite being a lefty, is still a sinkerball pitcher. He's done a solid job limiting home runs and features a 60% GB rate over ~80 innings this season.

I don't see it listed on any of their Sportsnet channels. However Rogers does get the MLB Network which is channel 415 or 508 and you can watch it on there.

Leafs: beat Ottawa in 2003-04. Lost in 2nd round to Philly
Raptors: Beat New York in 2000-01. Lost in 2nd round to Philly
Blue Jays: Won 1993 World Series (against Philly)

Clearly the Blue Jays don't have the same Philadelphia problem that the other Toronto teams do

I agree in a weird way the pressure should be off the Jays, at this point you have to take it day by day and game by game. Focus on winning tonight and move on to tomorrow. But...if there is a game 5 pressure will be at an all time high. But for now I don't think the team should feel pressure. You're on the road down 0-2...just play baseball, play your game and try and win a game that's all they can do right now.

Yea pretty crazy this isn't televised. I remember last year this happened as well when the games from MLB network. Dumb. Major fail by Sportsnet etc. IMO.

If the Blue Jays are eliminated does anyone have an idea of when their AL East Champions merchandise might go on sale? I want to purchase the shirt they were wearing in Baltimore the night they clinched, however I wanted to wait in case they end up winning the ALCS and World Series.
