Storylines

Sens

* Losers of three in a row, the Sens look to right the ship against an Islanders team in the same boat.

* The Senators sent J.G. Pageau down to Binghamton (AHL) on Oct. 31st.

* The Sens will look to put October behind them, as they lost four of their final five games in the month.

* Jason Spezza leads the Sens with twelve points.

* Robin Lehner makes his third start of the season.

Islanders

* The Isles are in a very similar situation as the Sens- looking to move on from a forgettable October. The Isles finished off the month on a 1-3-1 skid.

* The Isles shook things up big time this past week, trading Matt Moulson and sizable fortune in draft pick value to Buffalo for Thomas Vanek. Obviously GM Garth Snow thinks they can be a contender...

* John Tavares really is that good.

Keys To The Game

Ottawa must shut down Tavares and his linemates.
The Islanders will as usual rely heavily on Jonny T.'s line for offensive production.

by the power of Vanek the Isles are gonna be scary good

let's summon the anger we had from the last time we played the double islanders and crush them

Nielsen's outscoring Tavares, but the Okposo/Tavares/Vanek line could cause havoc for our team if their defensive woes haven't sorted themselves out at all yet.

Need Spezza and Karlsson to come up big this game. I like the chances that this happens.

5 - 2 for Ottawa.

I thought Paulrus had set up different lines yesterday, with Neil being on Line 1, and they were going to be the ones used for tonight's game.
