Add how soft his touch is and this has to be the weirdest case I can remember. Can’t help thinking this kid would’ve been a lottery pick even after taking a year off if he had just gone to the combine & done some workouts.

He’s obviously not played a competitive game in over a year, but holy f*** are his tools exciting & he seems to have a good head on his shoulders...as he’s shown some really good self-awareness/self-criticism in interviews and everyone is raving about how hard he’s working with the staff this summer.

There was clearly some shady shit going on with his whole college situation, but the NCAA gunna NCAA...as he seems to just be quiet kid who’s a bit of an introverted computer geek rather than some Okafor type nut who’s just straight up mentally ill.

Combined 0.4 fWAR and -1.5 bWAR and they're paying roughly $38.5M for them this year.

1. Don't give a lot of money to free agents in their 30s
2. Don't give a lot of money to relievers
3. Fire Bridich

Knox is going to develop the worst habits if he pays too much attention to what he can do when hot lol, cause the kid's shot is just a thing of beauty when it's dropping...needs to start taking one more dribble before taking off & keep working on that handle to be able to create more reliably when he doesn't have a PG out there who can get him going.

And Mitchell Robinson is such a freak. On one of his blocks, he got out to the three-point arc from the middle of the court in a split f***ing second. With his soft hands & blocking instincts, I want him to get all the PT his body can survive...and he can stay on the court for lol. Plenty of rookie mistakes that remind you that this is just his third game in the past 15 months, but holy crap is the potential huge if we can get him the reps he's missed.

If only they had replaced Mike Malone with an inanimate object, we'd really be getting somewhere.

But still, Isaiah Thomas on a 2 million dollar deal to play backup point guard? If he's remotely healthy, that's a massive steal.

They dumped massive amounts of salary and luxury tax in Chandler, Faried, and Arthur

They got a high risk, high reward guy in the draft in Porter Jr

They filled a big hole at backup point guard

They locked up Jokic and Barton

This team is going to score points in droves.

After his HR, CarGo's wRC+ is now 103. OPS+ was 103 coming into the game too. Both his defensive metrics and baserunning aren't too bad.

I hope that back doesn't ruin Porter. He should be a really fun player if his career isn't ended prematurely by his health.

Think the Rockies are 13-3 ever since Arenado said he'll leave if the team keeps sucking. They played well to end the 1st half, still think they should sell some assets that won't be here next year, mainly LeMahieu.

I don't care about batting average, it's a terrible stat. Even with .300 batting average, his career wOBA .330 which isn't great and wOBA isn't park adjusted.

His career wRC+ is 90 and OPS+ is 93, and every year, he's been a below average offensive player outside 2016.

With rising salaries to Arenado, Gray, Story, Blackmon, etc. next year, it would be dumb to re-sign LeMahieu (who makes 8.5M this year) who's value is from defense when Hampson, McMahon, Rodgers are all ready next year at a minimum salary.
