Bulls are now a bad team in a horrible conference. Literally no team in the east is a legitimate title threat barring major injuries out west. One thing to be buried by gold, another to be buried by dirt.

And good luck, LeBron. But your NBA Finals appearance streak's dead now. No way the Lakers come out of the West.

They could still trade for Kawhi, and go after Capela, Cousins...etc.

Depends how the rest of the dominoes fall. Lots of talent to potentially be acquired. And Golden State is beatable.

I still think they trade Lonzo. I doubt LeBron is the type of guy who would want to put up with that family crap.
The Lakers also signed Lance Stephenson and JeVale McGeee. If LeBron can play with them, it's most likely he'll deal with the Balls for at least a year.

The Spurs want nothing to do with the Balls. The Lakers will need to give up Ingram and Kuzma for Kawhi. Will Randle re sign with the Lakers? Kawhi most likely joins the Lakers in 2 years.

There are a lot of rumors in NYC that Kyrie will sign with the Knicks next year.

I can see Jabari signing a short term deal with the Bulls.

The Bulls are desperate for some athletic wings who can shoot. How are Markannen, Carter, and Lavine going to guard anyone with all 3 on the court together? Collectively, they will get exposed by the better teams in the League.

I feel like Kyrie is constantly hurt and the team that signs him to a max deal will end ups regretting it.

I'm still trying to figure out how the Bulls will build a roster to compete against:

* Boston: Tatum, Brown, Rozier, Hayward + top 7 SAC pick. I'm betting Kyrie leaves next year.

* Philly: Embiid, Simmons, Fultz, + Miami pick in 2021 + potential max FA.

* LA: Ingram, Kuzma, Randle, LeBron, Ball, Kawhi will sign with the Lakers

* GS: Steph, Green, Iguodala, Durant, Thompson

* OKC: Westbrook, George, Morris

* Houston: Harden, Gordon, Capela, Paul

This does not include the up and coming teams who are building small ball type of teams. How do the Bulls play Carter and Markannen together? IF the Bulls get lucky and signs Davis in 2 years, Carter probably gets the boot. This is why I wanted the Bulls to roll the dice on a player like Kevin Knox. An athletic wing who can play the 3 and 4. Carter is pretty much limited to playing the 5.

The Bulls are building a Thibs type of team in the new NBA. The smart move would have put Markannen at stretch 5 and surround him with long athletic wings at both forwards. Carter and Markannen on the floor together will be a defensive liability.

Lauri and Carter will be a nightmare to match up with and they will be solid Defensively at worst.

Bulls should go after Jabari and Rondo to try to make the POs. Make the POs with that young team and see if this attracts future FAs to sign. Bulls are not bad enough to tank for a top3 pick.

After watching the playoffs, you really think Lauri and Carter on the court together will be a nightmare? The traditional center were all being sat at crunch time due to the switching and small ball. Embiid was the only tradional center dominating and he's freak of nature. Davis and Capela are also athletic freaks. KAT got eaten up on the defensive side. The tradtional centers were NOT a matchup nightmare for any team in the playoffs. They were taken OUT of the series.

Today's centers are:

1. Rim protectors
2. Rim finishers
3. Athletic enough to stay in front of a perimeter playmaker for 5-7 seconds before help.

Perhaps Carter is the next Horford. However, do you see the athletic wings Boston surrounds him with? Brown, Tatum, Rozier, Smart, Morris, etc.? Opponents will be constantly looking for Carter and Lauri. And to top it off, Lavine is a terrible defender is well.

They are not traditional Cs. Other teams will respect their perimeter game and this will open up space. Teams will have problems with this. On the D side there will not be a problem with them.
