Not a good weekend for the men's hockey and football teams. The women's team did their part on Friday night with a win over NIT.

No question on the tough weekend. Playing at #6 Michigan is a tall order. Team will not see that level talent the rest of the season so hopefully there are lessons that were learned there. Need to stay out of the box in particular majors. Think that is 5 games in a row with a 5. Puts a ton of pressure on your team to have to be on the kill that long. That said, some positives to take. Good to have a week off then get a couple of home series under the belt. 4 weeks in the road in a row will catch up to you.

Tonight the Lions have their home opener vs Augustana to kick off a four game homestand

For anyone interested, the Lions men's team hosts #12 Western Michigan on January 5-6 when they return from holiday break. An there is a ticket deal that can be purchased through the university box office site at Lindenwood Box Office - Gift of Hockey!

This will be a big series for Lindenwood with Western Michigan ranked #11 in the nation as of today.

The university recently canceled many other men's and women's sports teams citing financial issues.

Update on the coaching search, it seems as though the Lions new bench boss will be former Michigan assitant Bill Muckalt

It's official, Muckalt will be taking the reigns. There will be a press conference at 1pm at Centene tomorrow (4/25)



In other news, the Lions have already popped up on two schedules so far, @ Miami (OH) Oct. 25-26 and @ Defending National Champion Denver Nov. 8-9
